The Challenge
Madrid Destino wanted to showcase the spirit, culture and elegance of Madrid during an international tourism event in Singapore.
The objective was to create a premium keepsake that would represent the city while offering guests something elegant, practical and memorable to take home.
Our Creative Approach
Rather than creating a generic promotional gift, Island Whisper Atelier developed an exclusive hand-painted design inspired by one of Madrid's most iconic landmarks:
Puerta de Alcalá.
Every element of the artwork was carefully created to celebrate the city's heritage while maintaining a refined contemporary aesthetic suitable for an international audience.
The handcrafted hand fans combined artistry, craftsmanship and functionality, allowing guests to experience Madrid through an object they could continue enjoying long after the event.

The Challenge
Turespaña wanted to represent Spain through a gift that felt elegant, authentic and instantly recognisable.
Rather than offering a traditional promotional item, the objective was to create a premium keepsake that would celebrate Spain's rich cultural heritage while leaving a lasting impression on international tourism partners attending the event in Singapore.
To help define the creative direction, the client shared a carefully curated inspiration board featuring Spanish textiles, flowers, colours and cultural references that captured the essence of Spain.

Before starting the design process, Turespaña shared a visual inspiration board that reflected the atmosphere they wanted to convey.

Our Creative Approach
Inspired by the materials provided, Island Whisper Atelier created an original watercolour illustration that celebrated Spain through contemporary elegance.
Rather than reproducing traditional motifs literally, we translated their movement, textures and colours into a refined artistic composition.
One of the strongest inspirations came from the flowing ruffles of traditional flamenco dresses.
Their movement became the visual language of the fan, creating a design that felt unmistakably Spanish while remaining sophisticated, timeless and luxurious.
Every brushstroke was painted by hand before being transformed into the final bespoke collection.
