Persol was preparing for the opening of its flagship store in New York and was looking for a bespoke luxury gift that reflected the timeless elegance and authenticity of the brand.
Beyond creating a beautiful product, they wanted to collaborate with a studio that shared the same appreciation for craftsmanship, premium materials and artisanal production.

Within 24 hours, Island Whisper Atelier developed several bespoke design concepts, allowing the Persol team to review different creative directions almost immediately.
One of the initial ideas explored painting the wooden ribs using Persol’s signature colours.
After producing the first handcrafted prototypes, we recommended preserving the natural wood finish instead.
